Samuel Henry Bryant

Mr. Samuel Henry Bryant, 89, of Lambsburg, VA, passed away at the Galax Health and Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.  He was born in McDowell County, WV, November 5, 1932, to the late Sam and Armeady Virginia Hawks Bryant.  Mr. Bryant retired from Pine Ridge Lumber Company after 20 years of service.  He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Addis Adeline Norman Bryant; daughters and sons-in-law, Vera Lynn and Dennis Jefferson, and Vivian Carol and Louis Knueppel; a grandson, Daniel “Danny” and wife Heather Jefferson; and great-grandchildren, Jenna Jefferson and Annsley Puckett.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his sisters, Elfy Phillips, Virgie Sawyers, Lucy Allenna Bryant and Genetta Bryant; brothers, Deward, Parley, Major, Roger, Elmer, Roscoe, Carl and Edward Bryant; and two half-brothers, Gilmer and Arnold Bryant.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Holder officiating.  Burial will follow in the Edwards-Upchurch Cemetery in Lambsburg.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 until the time of the service.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
