Samuel Joe Freeman

Mr. Samuel Joe Freeman, age 50 of Mount Airy, passed away on Tuesday evening December 3, 2024, at his home after a long hard fight with cancer and leukemia. Joe was born on March 8, 1974, to Dennis Gray Freeman and the late Mondelery Lillian Joyce Freeman. Mr. Freeman is survived by a very special friend, Wendy Simons; daughters and son-in-law, Brooklynn Freeman, and Chelsey and Layne Ashby; grandchildren, Harper Utt, Jackson Freeman, Lyric Upchurch, and Gunner Ashby; father and stepmother, Dennis and Audrey Freeman; grandma, Hazel Joyce; sisters, Beth Freeman, Tasha Freeman, Deanna and Josh Utt, Rebecca and Justin Stirewalt, and Kendra and Brandon Cunningham; brother, Daniel Freeman and Candi Taylor; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday December 8, 2024, at Anchored in Jesus Baptist Church at 2:30pm with Pastor Larry Stone and Pastor David Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in the Anchored in Jesus Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the church from 1:00 – 2:30pm.
