Samuel Timothy Goins

Mr. Samuel Timothy Goins, age 47, of Cana, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018, at his home.  Mr. Goins was born in Surry County on September 9, 1970.  “Tim was a humble man who would give you his last dollar.”  He will be dearly missed.  Among the many who will always cherish his memory are sons, Robbie and Zack Goins; his parents, Haywood and Mary Goins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jennifer and Mike Creed, and Janet and Paul Howlett; and a brother and sister-in-law, Marty and Missy Goins.  Mr. Goins was preceded in death by an infant sister, Terrie Michelle Goins and his grandparents, Mart and Esther Goins and Monroe and Alma Meredith.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 10, 2018, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Pete King.  Burial will follow in Red Bank Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
