Samuel Aldene Senter

Mr. Samuel Aldene Senter, 79, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 at North East Medical Center in Concord. He was born in Surry County on August 28, 1936 to the late, Spurgeon and Minnie Pearl Lowry Senter. Mr. Senter was retired from Frank Flemings Body Shop, and attended New Charity and Community Chapel Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Louise Butcher Senter of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and John Brown of West Jefferson; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Tamara Senter of Cana, VA, Ricky and Joni Senter of Mt. Airy, Michael and Vickie Senter of Dobson; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Brenda Senter. In addition to his parents, Mr. Senter was preceded in death by sisters, Doris Gentry, and Arlene Combs. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Burnette and the Rev. Hank Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
