Sandra Gail Sheppard Ayers

Mrs. Sandra Gail Sheppard Ayers, 53, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday evening, May 15, 2016, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Ayers was born February 8, 1963, in Surry County, to William Thomas Sheppard and the late Verlie Dean Hiatt Sheppard. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Mrs. Ayers is survived by her husband of 27 years, Michael Andrew Ayers of the home; her father, William Thomas Sheppard of Mount Airy; her mother-in-law, Carol Williams of Mount Airy; a special cousin, Crystal Reid Tickle; and her special work family from North Carolina Foam Industries. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a special friend and cousin, Wanda Reid. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 20, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eugene Brinkley officiating with burial to follow at The Peoples Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Flowers will be accepted.
