Sandra Wagoner

Mrs. Sandra Dawson Wagoner, 70, of Pilot Mountain, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at Village Care of King.  She was born November 10, 1949, in Surry County, to the late Junior Edward and Lorene Gertrude Needham Dawson.  She was a loving mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memories are a daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Michael Atwood; a granddaughter, Addison Bryce Atwood; a brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Sharon Dawson; a nephew, Zachary Dawson and his wife, Casie, along with their sons, Fitzgerald and Hawkens; and a niece, Jessica Hill and her husband, Wes.  Sandra retired from Bellsouth as a directory assistance operator and was a member of the Communication Workers of America Local Union in Winston-Salem.  Sandra was a member of and attended church at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Mount Airy, and she had a special friend, Mandy, that she attended with to the church.  Sandra enjoyed going to the beach with her daughter and she was an avid collector of all things.  A memorial service will be held at Holy Angels Catholic Church at a later date and inurnment will take place at Skyline Memory Gardens.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
