Sarah Allie Flippin Golding

Mrs. Sarah Allie Flippin Golding, 101, of Lowgap passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on September 15, 1921, in Surry County to the late Walter Lee and Myrtle Lillar Lawson Flippin.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memory are daughters and sons-in-law, Connie Barnes, Sarah Beane , Lillar Hayes (Carl), Rachel Gentry (Roger), Shyrell Boyette (Bob); sons and daughters-in-law, W.B. “Dub” Golding, Artis Golding (Jean), Roger Golding (Nancy), Harold Golding (Trudy), Joe Golding (Sandra); thirty grandchildren, seventy-six great-grandchildren, twenty four great-great-grandchildren,  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Golding was preceded in death by her husband, Dock Golding, sons, Charles “Charlie” Gray Golding, Leon Willard Golding; daughter, Mondell Lawrence; grandchildren, Craig Golding, and Rodney Davis; six sisters, and three brothers; daughters-in-law, Peggy Golding, and Judy Golding; sons-in-law, Harvey Barnes, Don Beane, and Graham Lawrence.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Rev. Joe Smith and Rev. Phil Edwards, and Rev Jonathan Bass.  Burial will follow in Flat Top Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time for the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Mrs. Golding to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home 945 Zephyr Rd, Dobson, NC 27017.
