Sarah Simpson

Mrs. Sarah Ellen Hyatt Simpson, age 84, of Pfafftown, NC formerly of Dobson, NC passed away on Wednesday, morning April 28, 2021, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home.  She was born in Surry County on March 1, 1937, to the late Harvey Hyatt and the late Bernice Dockery Hyatt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Gray Simpson; son Craig Simpson; sister, Celia Key.  She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church, and attended Grapevine Baptist Church in Lewisville, NC, she was retired from Renfro Manufacturing.  Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, David Grant Simpson and wife Barbara Simpson; sister, Peggy Rudd and her husband William Gant; brother and sister-in-law, Van Hyatt, Edward Hyatt and his wife Sharon Hyatt.  A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday May 2, 2021, in the cemetery of Piney Grove Baptist Church, with Pastor Ronnie Comer officiating.  There will be no formal services held at Moody-Davis Funeral Home.  Due to COVID restrictions, the family requests all attendees wear a mask and practice social distancing.
