Sean Christopher Key

Mr. Sean Christopher Key, 21, of 514 Broad Street and 105 Cole Street, Mount Airy, passed away Friday night, August 19, 2011, in Eden. He was born February 4, 1990, in Surry County, to Travis Key and Patricia Tipton Kidd. He attended Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church. He is survived by his father and stepmother, Travis and Suzanne Key of Mount Airy; his mother and stepfather, Patricia T. and Bryan Kidd of Mount Airy; a sister, Chloe Key of Mount Airy; three brothers, Logan Harris, Dakota Key, and Cody Key, all of Mount Airy; his grandmothers, Mary Sifford of Hillsville, VA, and Pat Scott of Mount Airy; his grandfathers, Doug Tipton of Cana, VA, and Gary Key of Mount Airy; and his stepgrandparents, Don and Sharon Walker of Mount Airy. Mr. Key was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Alvin and Addie Key, Gene and Ruth Scott, Monroe and Junie Tipton, and Delores Sifford; and a special cousin, Tony Sifford. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Elder Ronnie Mills and Elder Richard Gillispie officiating. Burial will follow in the White Family Cemetery in Sylvatus, VA. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
