Shannon Renee Horvat

Ms. Shannon Renee Patterson Horvat, 54, of Dahlonega, GA, formerly from Lambsburg, VA passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.  She was born in Surry County, NC to Garnetta June Lyons Patterson and the late Louis Esker Patterson.  Ms. Horvat graduated from Carroll County High School, attended Bauder College in Atlanta and was employed as the pastry chef for Montaluce Restaurant and Winery.  She was a loving mother and daughter and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  She is survived by her sons, Brian, Daniel and Kyle Horvat; and her mother, Garnetta June Patterson.  In addition to her father, Ms. Horvat was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Patterson; maternal grandparents, Garnett Preston and Stacey Daniels Lyons; her paternal grandparents, Mallory G. and Grace Doss Patterson; and  a special aunt, Patricia “Pat” Lyons.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, August 29, 2018 at Lambsburg Christian Church in Lambsburg with Rev. Ron Schwarz and Rev. Phil Hawks officiating.  Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
