Mrs. Shannon Dianne Key Shore, 48, of Yadkinville, passed away Thursday morning, August 26, 2021, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC. Mrs. Shore was born March 31, 1973, in Forsyth County, the daughter of Lance and Karen Hiatt Key. Shannon grew up in Pilot Mountain and graduated from East Surry High School in 1991. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of Union Cross Friends Church. She loved her church family dearly and always enjoyed singing in the choir and providing special music for worship services. She is survived by a son, Jackson Charles Shore of the home; a stepdaughter, McKenzie Jade Shore of Yadkinville; her parents, Lance and Karen Hiatt Key of Pilot Mountain; a brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Jennifer Key of Pilot Mountain; a niece and two nephews, Ethan Key, Scarlett Key, and Nolan Key, all of Pilot Mountain; her aunts and uncles, Deborah and the Rev. Dr. Greg Mathis of Flat Rock and Amy and Randy Green of Reidsville; her mother-in-law and her husband, Linda and Travis Allman of Yadkinville; and her father-in-law and his wife, Dean and Ginger Shore of Advance. Mrs. Shore was preceded in death by her husband, Brandon Dean Shore, who passed away May 14, 2021; her maternal grandparents, Alvin and Perlie Hall Hiatt; and her paternal grandparents, Emory and Guyline Whitt Key. A graveside service will be held Friday, September 10, 2021, at 1:00 PM at Union Cross Friends Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. Robin G. Dixon, Sr., the Rev. Dr. Greg Mathis, and the Rev. Abbot Oscar Joseph officiating. No formal visitation will be held; however, family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday from 8:00 until 5:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Union Cross Friends Church, 2533 Union Cross Church Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
