Sheila Shockley Childress

Mrs. Sheila Shockley Childress, age 80, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  She was born on August 22, 1943 in Pulaski Couty Virginia to the late Rober and Guida Worrell Shockley.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  Left to cherish her memory are daughter and son-in-law, Sherry Burrow (Scotty); grandchildren, Zane Shockley Jr, Destiny Shockley, Christine Gray (Jeremy), Cody Burrow (Katylin); great-grandchildren, Zavior Shockley, Caizor Shockley, Kynleigh Burrow, Ryder Gray; daughter-in-law, Teresa Shockley; lifelong friend, Eleonore Kidder.  In addition to her parents Mrs. Childress was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Browder, son, Zane Clark Shockley Sr.; sister, Roma Taylor, and brother, Jimmy Shockley.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Miracle Waters Worship with service conducted by Rev. Roger Easter and Rev. Barry Wood. The family will receive friends on Friday morning from 9:30 AM until the time for the service at the church.
