Shelby Jean Goins Millsaps

Mrs. Shelby Jean Goins Millsaps, age 86 of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Millsaps was born March 12, 1937, in Stokes County to the late Andrew and Annie Frye Goins.  Shelby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Surviving is her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Millsaps Sheppard and husband Mitch; son, Jerry Millsaps; special ex-daughter-in-law, Cherise Millsaps; three grandchildren and their spouses, Chris Sheppard and Brandy, Emily Millsaps Padron and Jorge, Andrew Millsaps and Marea, and four great-grandchildren, Maddox Lee Sheppard; Hannah Brinkley-Sheppard, Eleanor Padron, Charlotte Padron; a brother and sister-in-law, Junior Goins and Janie; several nieces and nephews, along with many special friends.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Millsaps was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Lee Millsaps; three sisters, Edith Goins Rogers, Juanita Goins Clifton, Iris Goins Marsh; brothers, Gaylon Goins, Glenn Goins; and an infant J.C. Goins.  A private interment will be held at Brims Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  A public memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Brims Grove Baptist Church, 3509 NC 268, Pilot Mountain, North Carolina 27041 or to Pilot Mountain Rescue Squad, 615 E. Bypass, Pilot Mountain, North Carolina 27041.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
