Sheila June Weaver

Mrs. Sheila June Vernon Weaver, 68, of Lambsburg, passed away at her sister’s home on Saturday morning, January 15, 2022. She was born in New Port News, VA on April 10, 1953, to the late Robert Lawrence “Bobby” Vernon, Sr., and May Belle Combs Hawks. She was retired from Walmart. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Bill Roger Weaver, Jr; a son, Richard Glenn Newman, Jr.; grandchildren, Cheyenne, and Emily; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Rev. Ronald Thomas, half-sisters and spouses, Kathy and Charles Lineberry, Diane and Roger Hall, and Sharon and Tony Pandolfini; a half-brother, Roger Lawrence “Larry” Vernon, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by a brother, Victor Bradley Hawks. A funeral service for Mrs. Weaver will be held Friday, January 21, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home Capel with the Rev. Ronald Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Chestnut Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
