Sherrie Rebecca "Becky" Draughn Selby

Ms. Sherrie Rebecca "Becky" Draughn Selby, 43, of Dobson, passed away on Thursday August 23, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County after an extended illness. She was born in Surry County on June 16, 1964 to Vance Michael "Mickey" Draughn and Sherrie Lively Draughn. She was a Registered Nurse for Medical Park Hospital in Winston-Salem until she was left disabled from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in 1999. A loving mother, daughter, grandmother and friend, Ms. Selby is survived a daughter, Nachole Micheal Draughn of Dobson; a son and daughter-in-law, Jason Allen and Tessa Chrismon of Ararat, NC; two beloved grandchildren Blake and Jordon Dobson; her mother, caregiver and best friend, Sherrie Lively Draughn of the home; her father "Mickey' Draughn of Mt. Airy; a sister and brother-in-law Regina and Steve Morgan of Dobson and two brothers and a sister-in-law Richard Draughn and fiance Betsy McMeans of Dobson and William Michael and Belinda Draughn of Elkin; special friends Dianne and Konoz Mohiuddin and Norwood Selby. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 25th in the chapel of Moody-
Davis Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Edwards and Rev. Jimmy Moon officiating.Interment will be held in Dobson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Surry Home Health, Surry County EMS, the staff of Northern Hospital of Surry County, to Moody Funeral Services who has meant so much to them through the years and special thanks to Belinda Draughn who has been so faithful to stand by them through the good times and the bad.
