Sherry Marie Hawks

Ms. Sherry Marie Hawks age, 54, of Mount Airy passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022, unexpectedly at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  Ms. Hawks was born on August 1, 1968, in Surry County, to the late Burlie Edward and Annie Marie Hawks.  Sherry was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Jennifer Hawks; two grandchildren, Kobi Hawks, Tyler Hawks; three sisters, Lona Hawks Freeman, Mona Hawks Lyons, Fernita Hawks Hutchins; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Joyce Hawks, Leon and Helen Hawks, Ronnie and Ruby Hawks; one sister-in-law, Doris Hawks; along with several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Hawks was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Hawks Johnston; and a brother, Calvin Larry Hawks.  A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022, at 2:00 PM at the Peoples Church Cemetery with Pastor Ray Hawks officiating.  No formal visitation will be held at this time.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
