Sherry Lee Jones Key Shelton

Mrs. Sherry Lee Jones Key Shelton, 44, of 632 North Main Street, Mount Airy, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010. She was born June 29, 1966, in Surry County, to Shirley Jefferson Jones and the late Jimmy Edward Jones. She was a registered nurse and a member of Temple Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband, Gregory Fred Shelton of the home; a son, Christopher Lee Key of the home; a daughter, Caitlin Nicole Key of Yadkinville; three stepdaughters, Megan Elizabeth Shelton of Mount Airy, Kimber Leigh Shelton of White Plains, and Jessica Nichole Shelton of Mount Airy; a grandson, Logan Gregory Brown of Mount Airy; her mother, Shirley Jefferson Jones of Mount Airy; a sister, Sonya Jones of Mount Airy; a niece, Sidney Cheyenne Butcher of Mount Airy; a nephew, Brandon Kyle Butcher of Mount Airy; and a special friend, Sadie. In addition to her father, Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Denise Jones. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 3, 2010, at 7:00 PM at Temple Baptist Church, with the Rev. Zane Fishel officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Temple Baptist Church.
