Sherwood "Pete" Pack

Mr. Sherwood "Pete" Pack age 89 of 3294 Hatchers Chapel Road, Claudville, VA, husband of Vera Bowman Pack, passed away on Thursday October 25, 2007 at Surry Community Nursing Center. Mr. Pack was born in Patrick County December 5, 1917 to Zachariah "Zack" and Emily Pack. He was a retired farmer. Surviving is his devoted wife, Vera Bowman Pack of the home; and two sisters, Ilene Hamm of Claudville and Sally Wilson of Mount Airy; special nieces, Kathleen Goins and husband Glenn and Faye Dollyhite all of Mount Airy and several other nieces and nephews In addition to his parents, Mr. Pack was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Pack and sisters, Ida Smith and Lucilla Collins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, October 28, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Tommy Nichols. Burial will follow in Red Bank Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday night from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
