Shirley Miller Breedlove

Ms. Shirley Miller Breedlove, Age 65, of Mount Airy, passed away on June 30, 2020 at Duke University Hospital in Durham surrounded by her children and two of her sisters.  Ms. Breedlove was born on September 29, 1954 in Surry County to the late Junior Turner and Juanita Ruth Vernon Miller. 

A graduate of Mount Airy High School, Shirley started working for Bank of America in Greensboro, NC and ended her career with them in Richmond, VA working in Training and Development.  While living back in Mount Airy she worked for several years at Surrey Bank and Trust. After leaving Surrey Bank and Trust she was able to spend her time enjoying her children, grandchildren and the rest of her family.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memories are a son, Will Breedlove and Tara Mattson of Kitty Hawk, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Becca and Bob Buie of Greenville, NC; grandchildren, Ford Breedlove, Bobby Buie and Savannah Buie; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Mary Miller of Jackson, NC, sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Danny Nicks of Winston-Salem, NC, sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Chuck Porter of Monroe, NC, brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Florene Miller of Charlotte, NC, and sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Mike Brim of Mount Airy, NC; and many loved nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held on August 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Shirley’s home at 159 Hidden Hill Trail, Mt.
