Shirley Caudle

Mrs. Shirley Perry Caudle, age 82 of Mt. Airy, NC widow of Mr. Russell W. Caudle, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home.  She was born in Guilford County, NC on October 25, 1935 to the late Erie and Idell Bates Perry.  She was retired from Caudle Food Store and was a homemaker.  Mrs. Caudle was a member of Bannertown Baptist Church where she served faithfully as organist for many years.  Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-laws, Joan and Vance Vaughn of Dobson, and Patsy and Ed King of Bluefield, WV; three grandchildren, Kristian King-Finley, Russell King and Meredith King; three great grandchildren, Felicity King, Stark Finley and Neil King; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Erie and Betty Perry of Ararat, VA, and Buddy and Anna Perry of Belmont, NC.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel.  The service will be conducted by Sammy J. Rule, Ed King and Vance Vaughn.  Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Garden.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00pm on Friday at Moody Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
