Shirley Ann Netto White

Ms. Shirley Ann Netto White, 57, of 722 Arch Street, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday afternoon, June 2, 2010, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Ms. White was born November 8, 1952, in Bristol County, MA, daughter of the late John and Christine Marion-Pimental Netto. Shirley worked in several restaurants in the Mount Airy area for more than 20 years and also volunteered at The Shepherd's House. Ms. White attended Mount Airy Wesleyan Church and was a member of Saint Anthony's Catholic Church in East Falmouth, MA. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan Douglas and Sherry White of Mount Airy; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Florence Abell, Pat Netto, and Brenda Netto, all of Falmouth, MA, Rose Marie and Bill Peaslee of Buzzards Bay, MA, and Barbara and Paul Prater of Ashland, KY; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert Netto of Hyannis, MA, and John Netto, Jr. and Deborah Netto of Falmouth, MA; several nieces and nephews; and numerous friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Mount Airy Wesleyan Church, with the Rev. Richard Loman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
