Sid Robert Berrier

Mr. Sid Robert Berrier age 89, 118 Lynn Ave., Mt. Airy, NC widower of Mrs. Bessie Ann Golding Berrier passed away Saturday morning, November 24, 2007 at Twelve Oaks Retirement Home and Alzheimers Unit. He was born February 16, 1918 in Surry County to the late Charlie and Lulu Leonard Berrier. He was a retired farmer and was of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are three daughters and a son-in-law, Edith Mae Sumner, Edna Faye Jones and Mary Lou and David Tillotson all of Mt. Airy, NC, two sons and a daughter-in-law, Roy and Barbara Berrier, and Bobby Berrier all of Mt. Airy, NC, six grandchildren and spouses, Marty Sumner, Mt. Airy, Mark and Toshia Sumner, Ararat, NC, Sandra and Jim Frazier, Mt. Airy, NC, Emily and Tom Nelson, Smithfield, NC, Engle Tillotson, Winston-Salem, NC, Roger and Julie Berrier, Advance, NC, six great grandchildren and one step grandchild and a special niece, Rosie Creed, Mt. Airy, NC. In addition to Mr. Berrier's wife, he was preceded in death by daughter, Dianne Berrier, a granddaughter, Annette Berrier, four brothers, Bogue Berrier, Jack Berrier, Howard Berrier and Willis Berrier and two sisters, Jettie Berrier and Fannie Berrier and a special first cousin, Fred Berrier. Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, November 25, 2007 at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Brother Wayne Williamson. The family will recieve friends 1:30 PM until time for Mr. Berrier to be carried to the cemetery for the service.
