Somsanith Sisoukrath

Mr. Somsanith Sisoukrath, 57, of 143 West Lebanon Street, Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born December 8, 1952, in a small village in Laos to the late Tiem and Nou Sisoukrath. He was one of the three hearts that ran The Thialand Café Restaurant, bringing culture and smiles to everyone he encountered. Mr. Sisoukrath was of the Buddist faith. Surviving are his wife, Sypraseuth Sisoukrath of the home; a daughter, Somphith Sisoukrath of Charlotte; two sons, Oley Sisoukrath and "Spanky" Sisoukrath, both of Mount Airy; and a grandson, Ethan Veevake Cordero of Charlotte. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 18, 2010, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The family will receive friends Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
