Sonya Michelle Mitchell

Mrs. Sonya Michelle Crouse Mitchell, 34, of Dobson passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Surry County on June 13, 1987, to David and Debbie Carico Crouse. Mrs. Mitchell was employed at Subway. She was a loving wife, daughter, and sister who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her husband, Michael John Mitchell; a sister and brother-in-law, Angela and Ashley Horton; a brother, Devin Crouse; nephews and niece, Colt Horton, Kaden Horton, and Landrie Horton; grandmothers, Nada Crouse, and Shirley Carico; special friends, Jessica Post, and Ashley Fulk. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Bill Crouse, and Friel Carico. A funeral service will be held Friday, August 6, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Fairview Church with Mr. Ashley Horton and the Rev. Sam Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
