Stella Wall Marion

Mrs. Stella Wall Marion, 92, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday, December 24, 2010. She was born October 12, 1918, in Surry County, to the late Charlie Edward and Hester Danley Wall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Marion; two sisters Mallie Wall and Ida Wall; a brother, Caleb Wall; and a nephew, Curtis Bowman. She was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church and a retired seamstress from Washington Mills in Dobson. Surviving are a sister, Leva Wall Bowman of Ararat; a brother and sister-in-law, Harvey and Evelyn Wall of Ararat; and several nieces and nephews, Peggy Sprinkle, Clayton Wall, Jack Wall, Patty Edmonds, Pansy Wall, R.V. Wall, Judy Reece, Fran Reece, Brent Wall, Mary Quvang, Sandra Tharp, Frankie Willard, Shirley Willard, Debbie Tolbert, Ray Wall, Bonnie Atwell, and Barbara Weir. The funeral service will be held Monday, December 27, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Rock Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Lee Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Rock Hill Baptist Church. There will be no formal services at the funeral home. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Marion family.
