Stella Christine Pierce

Ms. Stella Christine Pierce, age 67, of Dobson, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. She was born September 17, 1952, in Surry County to the late Jack and Rosa Lee Brown Pierce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Viola Brown; her twin brothers, Ricky and Nicky Pierce; and her lifelong friend, Diane Brown. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Lora H. and Billy Southard; sons and daughter-in-law, Jason and DeeDee Handy and Allen Handy; grandchildren, Jordan and Brett Mosley, Grace Southard, Tyler Handy, Austin Handy, Rylee Handy and Katelyn Handy; brothers and sister-in-law, Charles Pierce and Kenneth and Martha Pierce; nieces Charity and Daniel Galyean, Brittany and Jeff Brown; nephews Phillip Bolin and Blake and Amber Pierce and special loved one Jonathan and Melissa Issacs. Visitation will be Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Rocky Ford Baptist Church. The service will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Claude Lloyd and Rev. Joe Atkins officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
