Stella Marie Rakes

            Mrs. Stella Marie Rakes, age 94, of Warminster, PA and formerly of Patrick County, passed away peacefully and went home to be with the lord on November 18, 2018.  She was born in Keyrock, WV and was the youngest of 11 children.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Birchard and Pearl Cook; her husband, James Rakes; and two children, Sandy James Rakes and Jami Marie Rakes.

            Surviving are three children, Barry Birchard Rakes, Douglas Harvey Rakes, Sr., Sheila Lea Rakes; nine grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

            Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Dewayne Troutt officiating.  Burial will follow in the Elamsville Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
