Stephanie Wright

Ms. Stephanie Carol Wright, age 38, of Woolwine passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at her home. She was born in Durham, NC on Nov. 21, 1977. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carolyn Mae Hall Wright; her paternal grandfather, E.A. Wright; and two step brothers, David Lee Thompson and Kenneth Thompson, Sr. Stephanie was a 1995 graduate of Patrick County High School and was a member of Smith River Church of the Brethren. She was affectionately known as the “Cat Lady”.

Surviving are her father and step mother, Gary and Cindy Grubb Wright of Bassett; her maternal grandparents, Thurman and Lony Hylton Hall of Woolwine; her paternal grandmother, Virginia “Tootsie” Pilson Wright of Stuart; a step sister, Lisa Ellis of Norfolk; a step brother, James “Lacy” Thompson of Bassett; several nieces and nephews; and all her beloved pets.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 7:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Danny Gilley officiating. Burial will be private.
