Stephen Henry Arnder

Mr. Stephen Henry Arnder, age 55 of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, September 05, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Arnder was born in Surry County, September 13, 1951 to John and Mary Ruth Beck Arnder. He served our country in the United States Army and was a loving father, son, brother and friend to many. In addition to his parents he is survived by a son, and daughter-in-law, John Derek and Amber Arnder of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Jada Sky Arnder and John Dalton Arnder; a sister and brother-in-law, Nellie and Roger Kirkman of Mt. Airy; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Johnny Arnder and Tim and Jennifer Arnder all of Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Larry Thomas, Rev. Wesley Boyles and Rev. Dwight Sechrist. Burial will follow in New Venture Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors by VFW Memorial Honor Guard Mt. Airy Post 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post 9436. The family will receive friends Friday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home.
