Steve Smith Jarvis, III

Mr. Steve Smith "Bo" Jarvis, III, 19, of 147 Crane Lane, Mount Airy, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Mr. Jarvis was born October 16, 1990, in Surry County, to Vicky Golding Jarvis Moore and the late Steve Smith Jarvis, Jr. He was employed by Jantec Neon Signs and was a member of White Plains Baptist Church. Surviving are his mother and stepfather, Vicky Golding Jarvis Moore and Jeffrey Stewart Moore of the home; a sister and brother-in-law, Sheena Marie Jarvis and Scott Bryant of Mount Airy; a stepbrother, Isaac Stuart Moore of the home; his grandmothers, Sharon Jarvis of Mountain Park and Clara Irene Golding of Mount Airy; a stepgrandfather, Sheppard Ausby Moore of Mount Airy; a great-grandmother, Rena Grimes of Mount Airy; and a niece, Kalana Bryant of Mount Airy. In addition to his father, Mr. Jarvis was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Smith Jarvis and Clay Golding; and a stepgrandmother, Martha Ann Collins Moore. The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 13, 2010, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Tom Delph and the Rev. Larry Norman officiating. Burial will follow in the Central View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
