Steven Edward Gwyn

Mr. Steven “Bucky” Edward Gwyn, age 42, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019 in Surry County.  He was born on December 20, 1976 to Edward Gwyn and Brenda McMillian Tate. Mr. Gwyn worked for Steve Tate Plumbing and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.  Left to cherish his memories are his daughters and son-in-law, Cheyenne and Shane Cochran, Ava Plummer; son, Nathaniel Gwyn; granddaughter, Nevaeh Hawks; sisters and brother-in-law, Catina Gwyn, Tonya Deppner, Tammy Hawks and husband Marshall; brothers and sister-in-law, Edward Deppner and wife Autumn and David Tate Jr.; parents, Edward Gwyn and step mother Rose, Brenda Tate and step father David Tate; grandmother, Retha Richardson; girlfriend, Riley Griffith as well as several special nieces and nephews.  Mr. Gwyn was preceded in death by his step-grandfather, Troy Richardson; paternal grandparents, Velma and Dave Gwyn; maternal grandfather, Robert Lee McMillian Sr; and a special uncle Donald Ray “Donnie” Gwyn.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by Rev. Chris Benfield and Rev. Joe Lambert.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
