Steven Wayne Spencer

Mr. Steven Wayne Spencer, age 72, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2025 at his home. He was born on December 16, 1952 to the late Walter Spencer and Shirley Rasmussen Walker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister; Cathy Spencer Lankford; and an infant brother, Roger Spencer. 

Steven retired from VDOT as a Senior Inspector with over 30 years of service. He enjoyed being a Scout Master for many years along with serving as an Awana Club Commander. Steven was a member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and enjoyed serving him. 

Surviving is his loving wife of 52 years, Rita Spencer of the home; a son, Keven Spencer of Stuart, VA; grandchildren, Kody Spencer and Christina Spencer of Stuart, VA; sisters, Peggy Wagoner (Carry) of Stuart, VA, Pam Errichetti of Stuart, VA and Margie Shough of Patrick Springs, VA; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services for Mr. Spencer will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Covey officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Buffalo Ridge Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
