Steven John Violette

Mr. Steven John Violette, 57, of Ararat, VA, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born October 24, 1952, in Hartford, CT, to Marie Helen Levesque Violette and the late Gerald Philip Violette. Mr. Violette is survived by his mother and stepfather, Marie Helen Levesque Montgomery and Floyd Montgomery; a sister, Linda M. Violette of CA; two brothers, Gerald P.(Audrey) Violette and Paul Violette, both of Connecticut; two stepbrothers, Douglas F. Montgomery of Connecticut and Bruce S. (Sheri) Montgomery of Ararat, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Mr. Violette was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Lou Montgomery; and a stepbrother, Glen Matterson Montgomery. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 13, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Kelly Giese officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
