Susan Delores Phillips Snow, 72, of Dobson, NC passed away peacefully on Sunday September 12, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Rogersville, TN on August 10, 1949, to the late Glenn Thomas Phillips and Edna Monnie Venable Phillips. Susan was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She was an artist, a baker, a mathematician, a Barbie-doll-clothes maker, a farmer, a quilter, a fierce list-maker, a gardener, a wife, a painter, a grandmother and a blessing to everyone who knew her. Left to cherish her memories are her three daughters and son-in-law, Payge Snow, Monica Snow Hardy and husband David, Deitra Snow; grandchildren, Sophia Williams, Colin Hardy, Elias Williams, Sadie Williams; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia Phillips Rish and husband Jeff, brother and sister-in-law, Ronald Phillips and wife Janice and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Thomas Phillips. The family will celebrate Susan’s life in a private service September 17, 2021. No formal visitation will be held. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prayers and Squares/Prayer Quilt Ministry of Fairview Baptist Church, 7659 NC HWY 268, Dobson, NC 27017.
