Susan Elizabeth Durham

Miss Susan Elizabeth Durham, 91, of Elkin passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday August 2, 2006. She was born in Surry County on February 26, 1915 to the late Elisha and Martha Hiatt Durham. Mrs. Durham was retired from Spencer's Inc. and a member of Shelton Church of the Brethren. Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter Martha Durham Wilson of the home; two grandchildren Jesse C. Wilson, Jr. and David W. Wilson; four great-grandchildren Nicholas, Sonja, Lucus and Jesse; two special Hospice caregivers Amy Lawson and Bonita Lee. In addition to her parents, Miss Durham was preceded in death by two sisters Leanna and Maggie Durham and a brother Henry Durham ; two great-grandchildren Zacharey Wilson and Helen Wilson . Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home of Dobson with Rev. Tim Burton officiating. Burial will follow in the Midkiff cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
