Susan Jones Edwards

Mrs. Deborah Susan Jones McMillian, 66, of Cana, VA, went to her Heavenly Home, Thursday, December 23, 2021. She was born in Carroll County, to the late Edith Mae Marion Jones and Harlie Weldon Jones. Susan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to everyone. She worked as a manager for various retailers during her career. Susan was a faithful member of Paul’s Creek Baptist Church for many years. She touched many lives through school, work, church, and also friends of her children in such a positive way. Going on vacation, regardless of the distance, it seemed that she would always run into someone she knew. Susan will be lovingly remembered by her husband Roland McMillian; her daughter Angela Gray Scott; sons and daughter-in-law, Derrick Allen and Denise Gray, and Mitchell Dale Edwards; step children and spouses, April and Eddie Hall, Tori and Darrell Beamer, and Anna and Dallas Marion; grandchildren, Dillon Gray Scott, Gavin Allen Gray, Bella Leigh Gray, and Audree Faith Edwards; six step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; sisters and a brother-in-law, Sharon Jones, and Sheila and Jerry Marsh; a brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Beate Jones; many nieces, nephew, and cousins, and a host of friends. In addition to her parents, Susan was preceded in death by her previous husband, Ronnie Edwards. A funeral service will be held at Paul’s Creek Baptist Church, Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Justin McCreary officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
