Susan Regina Radford

Ms. Susan Regina Radford, 61, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday night, April 4, 2020, at Central Care Assisted Living Facility.  Ms. Radford was born February 5, 1959, in Surry County, one of four children born to Arnold Otis Radford and the late Betty Imogene Simmons Radford.  Regina worked as a registered nurse at Northern Hospital of Surry County for 17 years and was a member of Union Hill Friends Church.  She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Drew and Angela Simpson of McPherson, KS; two granddaughters, Kymberlinn Simpson and Evylinn Simpson, both of McPherson, KS; her father, Arnold Otis Radford of Mount Airy; a sister and brother-in-law, Jan and David Lyons of Mount Airy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Libby Radford and Jim and Joanna Radford, all of Mount Airy; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her mother, Ms. Radford was preceded in death by an infant son, Jacob Isaac Simpson.  Due to the limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), a private graveside service will be held at White Plains Friends Meeting Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the White Plains Friends Meeting, 849 Old Highway 601, Mount Airy, NC  27030; The Gideons International, Memorial Bible Program, P.O. Box 1032, Mount Airy, NC  27030; or a charity of the donor’s choice.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
