Sybil Ann (Martin) Callahan

Mrs. Sybil Ann Martin Callahan, age 86 of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Friday evening, May 26, 2023, at Central Continuing Care in Mount Airy, surrounded by her family.  Sybil was born in Surry County to the late Onze Richard and Ida Mae Gammons Martin.  Sybil was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Juna Callahan Easter and Alan, and grandchildren, Hope Easter, Matthew Easter.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Callahan was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jefferson “Junior” Callahan; and a brother, Leon Martin.  A funeral service will he held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Rev. Frank Harmon and Rev. Bill Faw officiating.  Interment will follow in the Indian Grove Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
