Sylvia Snider

Mrs. Sylvia Snider Snider, 96, of Churchland, NC, passed away peacefully at Northern Regional Hospital in Mount Airy on Friday evening July 10, 2020.  She was born July 29, 1923 to the late Robert Franklin Snider and Sarah Jane Williams Snider.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by all that knew her.  She was of the Primitive Baptist Faith.  Left to cherish her loving memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Arlie and Lu Ann Snider of Mount Airy; grandchildren, Penny Willard, John Snider, Ryan Snider and wife Ashley, and Neal Snider and wife Natalie; great-grandchildren, Samantha Willard, Isabella Willard, Sylvia Felisa Snider, Tessa Rose Sierra Snider, Lincoln Everette Snider, Camden Ball, and Clara Winizler; a sister, Doris King; and by several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snider was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Warren Snider; three sisters, Ruby Snider, Theodocia Garner, and Ultra Sowers; and three brothers, RG Snider, Marvin Snider, Archie Lowe Snider.  Respecting the current limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Linwood with Elder Paul Hopkins officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Wednesday at the church from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.  Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church, PO Box 901, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030.
