Talmadge Eugene Jenkins

Mr. Talmadge Eugene Jenkins, age 77, of Dobson, NC passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  He was born in Surry Co. on February 3, 1942, to the late Claude Victor Jenkins and the late Sara Jane Childress Jenkins Nelson.  He was a retired Logger and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, in Dobson, NC.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Pickett; and a brother Pete Jenkins.  Surviving is his wife Shirley Jones Jenkins; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Greg and Sharon Jenkins, Kevin Jenkins and his Fiancée Lisa Bowls; two grandchildren, Jesse Gene Jenkins, Samuel Casey Jenkins; two great-grand-children, Leland James Jenkins, Korbin Lane Jenkins; sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Bill Sales; two brothers and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Barbara Jenkins, Jerry Clyde Jenkins; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, April 14, 2019, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Pastor Glinard Lawson and Rev. Terry Coe will officiate the services.  The family will receive friends on Sunday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church from 2:00 PM until the time of his service at 3:00 PM.  Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Jenkins family.
