Tammy Lynette Price

Ms. Tammy Lynette Price, 51, of Mount Airy, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Ms. Price was born on May 20, 1970, in Forsyth County, and was the daughter of the late Danny and Daisy Leftwich. Left to cherish her memory are her fiancé, Joe Angel of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Corey and Morgan Newman; one daughter, Kellie Newman and fiancé Tyler Jackson; one bonus son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Hillary Angel; six grandchildren, Cayden Newman, Cambrey Newman, Caysten Newman, Emory Jackson, Savada Jackson, and Octavia Jackson; three sisters, Heather Thompson and husband David, Crystal Danner, and Tina Beasley and husband Brian; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Price was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny Leftwich, Jr. and John David Leftwich; grandparents, Walter & Hallie Leftwich and Medie Craig; a nephew, Jonathan Negley; a niece, Amber Martin; and a special aunt, Ann Thomas. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at Amazing Grace Baptist Church with Dr. Jonathan Barker and the Rev. Arlis Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at the People’s Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Amazing Grace Baptist Church. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love and compassion shown by the staff at Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, especially special caregivers, Rhonda Felts and Angel Goins, and the staff at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home.
