Taylor Dawn Matherly

Taylor Dawn Matherly (Steinmetz) 32, of Stuart, VA passed away peacefully, in her home, on Sunday December 29, 2024. She was born on December 7, 1992 in Roanoke, VA. Taylor lived a life full of love and laughter and always had such a positive outlook on life. Throughout her entire life, Taylor had such a contagious laugh; she would light up any room she walked into. She was a lover of all things Harry Potter, and absolutely loved working on her artwork. Her personality can be summed up in two simple words: pure joy. Although Taylor never had children of her own, she was the proud Aunt of many nieces and nephews, and she was such a Daddy’s girl. 

Taylor loved drawing and coloring pictures. Her and Danny enjoyed watching crime shows and they would bet on who it was that did the crime. She loved animals especially her poodle, Trixie. She had a beautiful smile and was always happy and loved everybody. When she entered the heavenly gates, she had that beautiful smile because her suffering was over.

Taylor is survived by her father, Robert P. Steinmetz III and Mother, April Matherly. In addition to her parents, Taylor is survived by her sisters, Amanda Milette, Ashlee Matherly and Samantha Matherly; her Aunt Gail of California; many nieces and nephews; her love of eleven years, Danny Lee Jefferson; her god-parents, Tommy and Lisa Spence; special grandparents, Lewis and Ervie Stevens; and many more family members who loved and cared for her deeply. Proceeding her in peace were her grandmother, Ann Marie Steinmetz, and Sister, Priscilla (Prissy) Ann Steinmetz.
