Teddy Gray Butcher

Mr. Teddy Gray Butcher, age 63 of Mt. Airy passed away at his home, October 4, 2006. Mr. Butcher was born in Surry County, December 16, 1942 to the late Arthur and Clara Mae Johnson Butcher. He was retired from Bassett Furniture. He is survived by two daughters, Tammy Butcher of Mt. Airy and Keila Butcher of Winston Salem; a son, Greg Butcher of Mt. Airy; four grandchildren, Tanner Butcher, Dalton Butcher, Jennifer Marsh and Lindsey Payne; a sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Cecil Bowman of Mt. Airy; four brothers, Ronnie, Jack, Gary and Danny Butcher, all of Mt. Airy; a special friend, Roy Thomas of Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church by Rev. Bill Spurlin, Rev. Donnie Hooker and Rev. Arlis Thomas with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
