Teddy Combs

Mr. Teddy Gray Combs, 68, of Cana, VA, passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, Monday, March 1, 2021.  He was born in Surry County, NC, to the late Marvin Edward and Clarsie Mae Dawson Combs.  After his career as a truck driver, Mr. Combs worked as a mechanic for small engine repair, which he continued to do as his health permitted.  He loved the challenge to make equipment run regardless of its age.  Mr. Combs was a wonderful brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He had a quick wit and answer for everything, in the most amusing way.  He loved spending time with his family and friends.  Left to cherish his memory are his best four-legged friend, “Trouble”; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys Berrier, Janice and Dennie Hawks, and Jean and Ivan Vass; his step mother Vera Combs; and his nieces and nephews, Eric and Jennifer Hawks, Dwayne and Heather Berrier, Travis and Alicia Combs, Steven and Deanna Berrier, Misty and McKenna Combs, Matt and Jennifer Vass, and Deanna Lundy; and  twelve great nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Combs was preceded in death by twin brother, Eddie Ray Combs; and a brother-in-law, Larry Berrier.  Mr. Combs will lie-in-state at Moody Funeral Home on Friday from 12:00 until 6:00 PM.  All services will be private due to the health concerns at this time.   To send flowers to Teddy's family, please visit our floral store.
