Teddy Vernon Hayden

Mr. Teddy Vernon "Pete" Hayden, 51, of 257 Atkins Lane, Mount Airy, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011, at his home. He was born May 8, 1959, in Surry County, to Bill and Betty Hayden. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his parents, Bill and Betty Hayden of the home; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Steven and Wendy Hayden and Mitchell and Sylvia Hayden, all of Mount Airy; a niece, Montana Hayden of Mount Airy; a nephew, Zachary Hayden of Raleigh; and "special friends," Ruth Huff and Vickie Hadley, both of Mount Airy, and David Beasley of Dobson. The funeral service will be held Sunday, February 13, 2011, at 3:00 PM at Mayberry Baptist Church, with Dr. Craig Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Friends Meeting Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Mayberry Baptist Church. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy is serving the family.
