Teddy Ray Underwood

Mr. Teddy Ray Underwood age 59 of 300 Candlewood Drive, Winston-Salem, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at his home after a lengthy struggle with cancer. Mr. Underwood was born in Surry County on January 2, 1947, son of the late Cliff Underwood and Estelle Riggs and was a veteran of the US Navy having served during the Vietnam conflict. Mr. Underwood is survived by four brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Virginia Underwood of Winston-Salem, Roy and Rebecca Riggs of Greensboro, Mike Hawks of Greensboro and Johnny Hawks of Charlotte. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Midkiff Cemetery. The service will be conducted by Rev. Paul Riggs. Military rites will be conducted at the grave site by VFW Memorial Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mount Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:30 until 1:30 PM.
