Teresa Ellen Mickey

Mrs. Teresa Ellen Kingrea Mickey, age 68, of Mt. Airy, NC passed away surrounded by her loving family  on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC.  She was born in Giles County, VA on September 10, 1952, to the late Garnett Algene Kingrea and to the late Violet Marie Burton Kingrea.  She was a homemaker, and a member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Gregory Marcus Mickey; sister, Opal Yvonne “Bonnie” Goins; brother, Michael Gene Kingrea.  Surviving is her husband, Marcus Mickey; daughter and son-in-law Crystal and Mikey Pruitt; adopted in love daughter,  Annette Booker; grandchildren, Derek and Bekah Browder, Lana and Dillon Brown, Lexy Mickey, Madison Mickey; adopted in love granddaughter and her husband, Kellie and Wayne Snow; great-grandchildren, Bentley Browder, Hudson Brown, Rilynn Browder, Elijah Donathan, Nash Brown; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Lou and Allen Sutphin and Diane (Dee) Hernandon; brother, John “Buddy” Kingrea; special friends, Donna Payne, Carmen Grzunov.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday October 25, 2020, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, NC, with burial to follow in the Union Hill Cemetery.  Chaplin Robin Sides will officiate the services.  The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of her service at 2:00 PM. The family would like to thank the staff at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC. They would also like to extend their appreciation for the personal care that Janene Moss, Angela Goins, and Kim Creed Gurley gave.
