Terry Gail Jester

Mr. Terry Gail Jester, age 78 of Thurmond, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019, at his residence.  He was born August 14, 1941, in Bryson City, North Carolina to the late Alta Day Jester and the late John Fonroe Jester. He was a partner in Tarheel Sand and Stone. He is survived by his loving wife, Polly Viola Newman Jester; daughters, Pam Monkus and Angie Jester; step-daughter; Joyce Atkinson; step-son, Terry Porter; three grandchildren and five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Moxley and Judy Comer; brothers, Jackie Jester and Tony Jester,  The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson on Monday evening, September 2, 2019 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm, with a memorial service to follow in the chapel conducted by Lay Speaker Bobby Shaw.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 401 Technology Lane, Mount Airy NC 27030.
