Terry Jones Long

Mr. Terry Jones Long, age 64, of Mount Airy passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, at his home.  He was born April 9, 1958, in Surry County to the late McAdoo Elvin Long and Gertrude Jones Long.  A graduate of North Surry High School, Terry began a career as a farmer, and later a truck driver.  He loved his family and enjoyed family gatherings.  Terry is survived by his daughter, Lalena Long; two sons, Jimmy Long, Jacob (Whitney) Long; four grandchildren, Anthony Long, Jocelyn Long, Ava Willard, and Harper Long; a sister, Deborah Long; a brother, Johnny (Kelly) Long; a niece, Jennifer (Billy) Shelton; a nephew, Dustin (Yvette) Long; three great-nieces; two great-nephews; and many friends.  A memorial service is being planned for a later date.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
