Mr. Terry Kay Nixon, age 74, of Dobson, NC passed away Friday December 18, 2020 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Surry County on December 17, 1946 to the late Gilbert “Gib” and Velna “Whitey” Davis Nixon.  He was a retired truck driver for Cooke Trucking, and was of the Baptist faith. His was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Surviving is his loving wife, Callie France Nixon; two daughters and sons-in-law, Christie and Jason Lewellyn, Pam and David Gregory; eight grandchildren, Alicia and Michael Shore, Brittany and Derick Daughenbaugh, Courtney Bowman, Caitlin and Matthew Kirkman, Devon Mundy, Mercedes Mundy, Destiny and Sam Swanner, Jeremiah Gregory; twelve great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Jerry Utt; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Janice Nixon; several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Jared Nixon, parents Gilbert and Whitey Nixon, mother-in-law and father-in-law Raffis and Gertie France.  A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday December 22, 2020, in Skyline Memory Gardens in Mt. Airy, with Rev. Joe Atkins officiating.  His Body will lie in state on Tuesday from 12 noon until 1:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson. A special thanks to the staff at Forsyth Medical Center ICU unit.
